Sonat Özcivanoğlu

Sonat Özcivanoğlu graduated from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2015, where she also received her Master of Architecture in 2019. During her master's studies, she conducted several workshops and exhibitions. While pursuing her doctoral studies at METU, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Architecture at TED University (TEDU). She received her PhD in 2025 with the dissertation “Inhabiting the Narrative Territory of Architecture.” Her main research interests include walking-based mapping practices, collage as a medium of architectural design and representation, and the muthos, ethos and narrativity of architecture. In addition to her academic work, Sonat produces work as a mixed-media artist and has participated in solo and group exhibitions.
