Deniz Altay

DENIZ ALTAY | Instructor

Studied city and regional planning at the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, and received her Ph.D. degree at the Department of Geography, Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Science Sociale, Paris. Her research interests include urban geography and sociology. She has published some articles and papers in journals, books, and conference proceedings on these topics. Her recently published article is "Changing Patterns of Segregation and Exclusion in the City: The Case of Ankara" (with Türkün A. in Turkish Area Studies Review, London, 2005). In addition to her academic involvements, she also participated in some urban regeneration projects in relation with local governments and NGOs.
